I will always say yes to meatballs! Usually, I will grab some balls at Ikea, Damansara (the only popular place to get good meatballs). Since I’m staying in Putrajaya and trying to get to Damansara after work is crazy talk, umm…like the traffic will actually drive me crazy! Haha!

During my last visit to Zawara Coffee, I noticed there is a new meatball restaurant called Meatball & Co. As a fan of the meaty balls, I thought why not give it a try?!

Located at Ayer@8, Putrajaya, Meatball & Co provides a comfortable experience and beautiful scenic view.

It’s a self-service restaurant, meaning ordering and payment must be made at the counter. There is plenty of choices on how you can get your meatballs served. It’s either you have it with side dishes, with pasta, or just make it a sub. There are also 4 types of meatballs provided. If you are not a fan of beef, you can have chicken meatballs or lamb meatballs. If you are a vegetarian, veggie meatballs are available too. Each set of meatballs come with 2 side dishes. I had salad and mashed potato. It is quite pricy for 7 meatballs compared to other meatball restaurants I have visited, however.

Once payment is made, I looked around for a perfect table to enjoy my meatballs while watching the sunset.

By the way, each set of meatball come with a condiment of your choice (black pepper, mushroom or marinara sauce), mint sauce and jam. If you don’t want to have a big portion for dinner or lunch, this set is perfectly made for you. The meatballs were made by 100% real minced meat and rolled by hand. Unfortunately, I chewed a small piece of bone and this is suprising and actually unacceptable for hand-rolled balls. They should be more careful with small pieces of bones in the mincemeat next time. My mashed potato was served cold, literally like it was taken out from a fridge.

My overall pinion on the meatballs set: average quality and nothing special.
I really hope they would upgrade the food quality because it’s a shame to have a beautiful concept restaurant but serve an average quality of food.

If you are nearby Putrajaya and wanna give it a go (baked salmon and chicken also available besides meatballs), you can find the restaurant at this address:

C1-G, Ayer@8, Jalan P8G,
Precint 8, Putrajaya
(next to Zawara Coffee, facing Putrajaya Lake)

Monday to Sunday : 11.00am – 10.00pm

I hope you enjoyed my review of Meatball & Co, Putrajaya, Malaysia.
