If you are looking for Kuala Lumpur accommodation, specifically Marriott hotels, there are tons to choose from. A wonderful pick would be the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Executive Suite . One good reason is that the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur hotel is only 22 minutes walk from the world-famous Petronas Twin Towers.
Last summer, I had the opportunity to visit and review Renaissance Kuala Lumpur’s newly upgraded Executive Suite in the West Wing! It was my first time staying here and it certainly won’t be the last!
Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Executive Suite Upgrade
As a Marriott BonvoyTM Titanium member, naturally, I got upgraded to the Executive Suite. In addition, I was granted R Club Lounge access. Renaissance Kuala Lumpur’s West Wing has undergone major renovations and the rooms are now completely have a different feel. Since I never stayed here prior to the makeover, I can’t compare with how it was before. However, I can tell you that this new modern look is now comparable and very similar to Marriott Bangkok Sukhumvit from the furniture to the wall decor! And that’s a good thing!
Renaissance Modern Living Room
When you walk into the door of the Executive Suite, you will be greeted with the brand new and cozy living room. I love the gray color scheme; it is soothing to the senses.

The writing desk is ideally situated near the window so you have natural lighting when you work on your laptop while staying in the Executive Suite. Furthermore, it is even better with the welcome amenity on it!
The TV is neatly tucked inside the wall panel to give you that seamless look. However, I rarely watch TV when I stay in hotels (or even at home lol) but I do appreciate the thought process that went into this living room design.

The Belated Birthday gifts from Renaissance KL
Since I usually celebrate my belated birthday in the summer, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Team especially Mr. Paul and Ms. Joyce was nice enough to provide some cool welcome gifts. Check out the birthday cake and some yummy flavored popcorns below:

In addition, check out this delicious local fruits basket welcome amenity:

So nice of them isn’t it? Thank you Renaissance Kuala Lumpur!!! ?
The Fabulous Kuala Lumpur Tower View
The Executive Suite also has magnificent view of Kuala Lumpur Tower that any tourist visiting Kuala Lumpur would definitely enjoy! The greeneries below it? That’s KL Forest Eco Park at the Bukit Nanas reserve featuring nature trails and a forest canopy walkway. The forest reserve is literally across the street from Renaissance Kuala Lumpur. Not many Kuala Lumpur accommodation can boast this fact!

By the way, have you considered these must-haves for your travel packing list?
The Mini Bar
The living room also includes a mini bar with the usual items: San Marco capsule coffee maker and 2 complimentary bottled drinking water. I wish they provided Spritzer Mineral Water like Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur though!

Green tea and english breakfast are provided along with Nescafe instant coffee mixes.

The mini fridge includes few bottled juices, soda, Milo chocolate drink and Badoit sparkling water. If you have access to the R club lounge (for Platinum Elites and above or if you booked club rooms), these are available free there so no need to pay mini-bar charges.

The Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Executive Suite Guest Restroom
I don’t know about you but I get super happy when a suite comes with another WC! Why? Well…you don’t have to share the toilet with your suite partner! Therefore it is super useful when not traveling solo. Even if you are staying alone, anyone you invite over doesn’t have to share YOUR toilet!
LOVE! ???
P.S – Simple things do make me happy hehehe

The guest restroom are located near the front door of the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Executive Suite. The guest restroom toilet even has the water sprayer for your tushie. No need to hoard the toilet paper ya’ll!

The Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Executive Suite Bedroom
You guys!!! The bedroom is the best part of my Renaissance KL Executive Suite stay! Just take a look at this.

I have no idea how many red roses were sacrificed to create that awesome Happy Birthday wish on the bed! This is by far the best wish bed decor (is that even a thing?) I’ve ever gotten for my Birthday!
Awwwwwwwww so sweet ??????
Thanks so much Renaissance Kuala Lumpur! I feel so LOVED!!!!
Obviously, after taking this pic and my YouTube video review, I jumped on the bed and rolled all over the petals hehehee
The side of the bed has a power outlet. This is essential guys! We need to charge our phones, iPad etc. Some hotels still don’t get this simple fact. Lucky for you, if you stay at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur, you don’t have to worry because ain’t nobody got time for that! ?

Of course there are also your usual alarm clock I never use, phone, pen and writing pad. And here is another look of the bedroom from the side table angle. There’s also a tv that is the same size like the one in the living room implanted in the wall panel. I can’t tell what the TV channels they have available for you because as I said earlier, I don’t watch TV ?
Up ahead you will see the entrance to the closet on the left and the door back to the living room on the right.

Before we check out the closet, I just want to mention that they also have this sofa by the window side in the bedroom. The little table thingy is cutesy!

Let’s walk over to the closet now. Like I said above, you will see the door back to Renaissance KL Executive Suite living room right next to the closet entryway.

Le Closet
The first thing you see when you enter Le Closet like Dell likes to say, is this fancy luggage rack. I love the chrome finish. I need this for my house!

And here is the actual closet. Plenty of spaces to put stuff. Furthermore, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur provided 2 sets of slippers, hair dryer, and. laundry bags.

Hmm….are those Yukatas? Why yes they are! I love these – they feel silky-ish when they are not silk. In addition, Renaissance KL also has the standard big white cotton robes that you can request via the phone operator.
The safe is antique but ample-sized. It can fit plenty of things including my 15″ MacBook Pro. Moreover, an iron and ironing board set is provided as well with lots of hangers.

Les Toilettes (The Bathroom)
I totally judge a hotel room based on the bathroom. Did I say that before? Well it is worth repeating. This one has all the standards that my Instagram buddy @the.thlee would appreciate! He would totally work on his laptop in this bathroom lol!

Love love loveeee the round light up mirror! Your selfies will look gawjus in this mirror.

In addition to the more-than-sufficient towels seen above, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur also provides a host of bath amenities. In case you forgot to bring your own, they got you covered. The ONLY thing they don’t have is mouth wash. I actually called the operator and asked for this common amenity and they were like Sorry Sir we don’t have it. Umm…okay. In other words, BYOM then. Bring your own mouthwash!

Actually I don’t need to show you this second picture but just to make a point that body lotion is also given. Although with Malaysia’s high humidity all year round (think of Florida in August ?), you don’t really need additional moisturizer. Just go outside and you will be drenched in your own ahemm…natural moisturizer ?.

Renaissance Kuala Lumpur is using this boutique-ish brand called Tokyo Milk. I’ve never seen this brand at other Marriott properties before. They are made by Guest Supply, a Sysco company. They smell good tho!

The tub is sizable and deep! I love it when it’s not kiddy-size. The water needs to rise above your waist else it is no fun!

Another soap by Tokyo Milk is provided by the tub. No bath salts though. That’s okay because not all hotels provide those. Henceforth, BYOBS ! (Bring your own bath salts) too!

Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Executive Suite Bathroom Encore
The shower is also separate from the tub – which is important to me because i I don’t like taking a shower in the tub! The glass walls made it more modern looking.

Two shower heads are available! Rain shower head is a must! And Renaissance KL Executive Suite got it!

The shower gel, shampoo and conditioners are all Tokyo Milk brand. I love the shower gel! I didn’t use the shampoo or the conditioner so I can’t vouch for them. My hair is finicky. The only few hotel shampoo and conditioner combo that I can use are the ones like from Courtyard Bangkok’s Nirvae Botanicals. Those will make your hair oh sooo soft! ?

The toilet is directly across from the shower. However, I would liked it more hidden because who wants to be staring at the toilet while you Dance2 revolution in the shower? Courtyard Bangkok has better bathroom design. The toilet has the water spray next to it because Malaysians need to wash with water!

Good option for Kuala Lumpur Accommodation
If you are looking for a nice Kuala Lumpur accommodation that is walkable to the Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC) which hosts the infamous Petronas Twin Towers, the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur is a good option. KL Forest Eco Park at Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is just across from the hotel. The newly opened and beautiful Saloma Link bridge is nearby as well.
The hotel just recently renovated and has a more modern look and feel now especially the West Wing. Room rates are reasonable and the Executive Suite is well appointed as you saw above. As a child, oftentimes when I passed by this hotel and I remember wandering how it looks inside. I am very grateful now as an adult, I was able to stay here! So yeah if you’re coming to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, stay at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur and book the Executive Suite or request your Platinum elite upgrade! I think you’ll enjoy it! ?
Don’t forget about these important items to bring with you when you travel!
